Pravar Gautam leaves Salesforce after a year

The channel veteran joined Salesforce as VP for Alliances and Channel a year ago.

Pravar Gautam, VP, Alliances and Channel at Salesforce is leaving the vendor after a year. The veteran leader, who joined Salesforce from AWS in September 2025, shared the announcement on his LinkedIn profile.

“After a meaningful and fulfilling chapter at Salesforce, I'm turning the page,” he said.

Gautam’s departure comes as the vendor continues to strengthen its partner ecosystem in the region. Over the past year, Gautam has been supporting the growth of Salesforce partners, with new customer Data and AI innovation centers in Vietnam and also the Philippines, which was announced recently.

Gautam shared that leading Salesforce's Alliances & Channels across ASEAN gave him the opportunity to shape the vendor’s ecosystem strategy at a defining moment for industry.

“Together, we strengthened our strategic partnerships, expanded industry-shaping opportunities across customer segments, and evolved our ecosystem for an AI-first world — always anchored in customer outcomes. We helped partners move from transformation conversations to tangible AI results, built multiple Data & AI Centres of Excellence (CoEs) to sharpen partner differentiation, advanced the opportunity around agentic AI through our updated partner programs, and delivered regional firsts, including our Partner Summits right across ASEAN,” he said in his post.

Gautam also thanked leaders at Salesforce for the trust, sponsorship and support that shaped his journey in the company.

“To my team — thank you for your commitment, resilience and belief — you have been exceptional to work with. To our customers and partners — thank you for trusting our partners with your ambitions and for building alongside us. And to friends across the media and analyst community — thank you for the thoughtful conversations, perspective, candour and support throughout this chapter,” he said.

Prior to leading the channel and alliances in the region at Salesforce, Gautam was in AWS for eight years, where he also built a strong legacy in leading and shaping the channel ecosystem in Asia Pacific.

“Ecosystems, not single vendors, will define who wins the next decade of enterprise AI. As AI becomes agentic, value will increasingly be created between organizations — not within any one of them,” he concluded.
