Richard McLaughlin named President of Asia Pacific, Japan & Greater China at Dell Technologies

Richard McLaughlin succeeds Peter Marrs, who will assume a senior leadership role with Dell’s team in North America.

Dell Technologies has named Richard McLaughlin (Rich), as president of its Asia Pacific, Japan & Greater China (APJC) region. A veteran at the tech vendor, McLaughlin takes over the role from Peter Marrs, who moves on to a senior leadership role with Dell in North America.

As President for APJC, McLaughlin will drive corporate strategy and sales in the region, focusing on Australia & New Zealand, Greater China, India, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, and South Asia & Emerging Markets (SAEM). Based in the region, McLaughlin will report to Pete Trizzino, president of Global Sales.

Prior to taking of the role as President for APJC, he was senior vice president in the sales organization, overseeing a global team delivering technology solutions to multinational corporations. McLaughlin also held executive roles including vice president for Americas and director for global accounts in financial services.

“Rich’s global expertise and customer-first mindset created meaningful outcomes for customers worldwide. I’m confident he will build on that momentum and drive continued growth in APJC,” Trizzino, president, Global Sales said.

Trizzino also thanked Marrs for his leadership in APJC and looks forward to his continued impact on his new role in North America.

Dell Technologies continues to have a strong growth in the region, with the PC market being a key area of focus. The vendor’s storage and AI infrastructure offering have also gained traction in Asia.

The vendor recently announced that it is doubling down on a select group of its largest partners with new incentives to drive storage and client growth and is bringing back New Business Incentives and competitive swap rebates for Titanium partners.
