Cisco powers Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison’s new Security Command Center in Indonesia
The launch of Indosat’s Security Command Center, in collaboration with Cisco, strengthens Indonesia’s cybersecurity posture.
Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (Indosat) continues to expand its partnership with Cisco as the Indonesian telco company launches its Security Command Center (SCC). Powered by Cisco and located in Jakarta, the SCC marks a significant leap forward for the country’s digital resilience as AI rapidly transforms the threat landscape.
Using Cisco’s unified security platform, Splunk’s advanced threat detection and machine analytics, the SCC will be able to deliver real-time detections, investigation, and response. This provides continuous visibility and AI-driven insights, helping organizations prevent disruptions before they occur. The SCC will also be supported by local and global expertise of Cisco Customer Experience Services.
According to Vikram Sinha, President Director & CEO of Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison, the launch of Indosat’s Security Command Center, in collaboration with Cisco, strengthens Indonesia’s cybersecurity posture and reinforces the telco’s commitment to protecting government, businesses, and communities.
"Combining world class technology with local expertise creates a secure and resilient digital infrastructure that fuels innovation and meets Indonesia’s long term digital ambitions,” Sinha said.
Chuck Robbins, Chair and CEO of Cisco shared that the network and security vendor is proud to continue the partnership with Indosat to establish a new benchmark for digital resilience in Indonesia.
“By delivering the combined power of Cisco and Splunk, we are providing the critical infrastructure and trusted foundation Indonesian organizations need to safeguard against AI-powered threats and lead in a digital economy,” Robbins said.
Indosat believes that the SCC, organizations and operations teams will be empowered with managed services to navigate the country’s complex digital landscape. In September 2025, Indosat also collaborated with Cisco to launch Indonesia’s first Sovereign Security Operations Center (SOC), which provided the first-ever local deployment of Splunk Cloud Platform and Splunk Enterprise Security in Indonesia.
As Indonesia’s businesses, public institutions and communities embrace AI, they also face a surge in sophisticated cyber threats. Security must be woven into every layer of digital infrastructure; it cannot be a patchwork or an afterthought. The SCC makes this possible, giving organizations continuous monitoring, end-to-end visibility and actionable intelligence, so they can focus on innovation and growth.
