Equinix expands Microsoft Azure Connectivity in Malaysia and Indonesia

The enhanced connectivity enables organizations in Malaysia and Indonesia to securely connect to Microsoft Azure and build scalable, low-latency and resilient hybrid multi-cloud infrastructure for AI and business-critical workloads.

Equinix has expanded availability of Microsoft Azure connectivity in its International Business Exchange (IBX) data centers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and Jakarta, Indonesia. With Equinix developing KL2, its new AI-ready IBX data center in Cyberjaya, Malaysia as well as the growth in Indonesia, the expansion strengthens Equinix's industry-leading cloud ecosystem in the Southeast Asian region, enabling enterprises to build distributed, low-latency, and resilient digital infrastructure to support AI innovation, modern applications, and business-critical workloads.

Equinix hosts one of the most interconnected cloud ecosystems in both Malaysia and Jakarta, providing access to key cloud service providers, including Microsoft Azure, Alibaba Cloud, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Google Cloud. The addition of Microsoft Azure connectivity provides access to leading cloud service providers, giving enterprises the flexibility to architect secure hybrid multi-cloud environments, optimize application performance through private, low-latency connectivity, strengthen network resilience, and deploy AI and mission-critical workloads closer to users.
