For Everpure, it’s the era of data primacy
“With Everpure Data Intelligence, we're allowing customers now to get a better understanding of their data,” says Charles Giancarlo, Chairman and CEO of Everpure.
With AI now on the agenda of every vendor, it only made sense for Everpure to also see how it can be part of the conversation beyond its storage offerings. While storage plays an important role in the AI journey, the vendor’s new branding and focus drives more towards data management, following the closing of its 1Touch acquisition recently.
Now, the vendor that is revolutionizing storage and data management has unveiled new capabilities to help businesses securely fast-track enterprise AI initiatives while maintaining visibility and control over all their data.
At its Pure Accelerate summit in Las Vegas, Charles Giancarlo, Chairman and CEO of Everpure introduced the Everpure Data Intelligence and new updates to the Enterprise Data Cloud. The advancements will help organizations turn fragmented enterprise data into trusted, AI-ready intelligence.
Everpure Data Intelligence, which is based on the integration of 1Touch, discovers, classifies, and contextualizes enterprise information at its source. With the capability to work on all data, inclusive of the Everpure Platform, public clouds, SaaS applications, and third-party storage, Everpure Data Intelligence contextualizes definitions and connections in enterprise-wide data while adding safety rules and contextual relationships necessary for AI.
This is becoming increasingly important as businesses look towards building their sovereign AI capabilities. For enterprises deploying AI agents, Everpure Data Intelligence also feeds accurate and relevant data that maximizes response accuracy while drastically reducing the context windows and token costs.
“With Everpure Data Intelligence, we're allowing customers now to get a better understanding of their data. Not just a catalog of all their data, but the context that's varied in the applications that control the data, and then creating a shared context across all of those applications. This allows them also to build systems of record, meaning sources of truth, so that they're controlling their data,” Giancarlo said in his keynote address at the summit.
The era of data primacy
This is where Giancarlo believes the data primacy environment will be the future of data management. In the data primacy model, information is liberated from individual applications to become a shared and governed system of record. Specifically, data needs to be self-describing and carry its own meaning and logic wherever it goes.
With governance embedded at the data layer, data primacy ensures lifecycle management and privacy rules are permanently attached to the information rather than policed by outside software. Also, apps and agents read from, and can contribute to, the data in the system of record, but do not own it.
Comparing an app-centric environment versus the data primacy environment, Giancarlo explained that in an application-centric environment, organizations are getting more data proliferation and therefore fragmentation. In a data primacy environment, the organization creates it sources of truth, which is where Everpure believes where third-party applications should be going for their data.
“You create the source of truth. In an app-centric environment, you have duplicate definitions of the same thing. We understand the trouble that customers have to go through trying to get an understanding of the right contact and the right customer. In the case of data primacy, you are able to have a semantic knowledge graph and add a source of truth. So you know who the customer is and you know all of the different aspects of that customer,” he said.
Giancarlo also pointed out that when it comes to profitability, support and costs, in an app-centric environment, organizations have brittle handoffs between the application environments because applications change the way they operate.
“They might change the context and then you've got to deal with that breakage in the other environments. Whereas the goal of a data primacy environment is to have applications consume the data from your source of truth and only under proper governance be able to update that source of truth,” he added.
The app centric environment also has fragmented context, which makes the possibility of hallucinations high. In the case of data primacy, there is governance around data to make sure it's correct, which reduces hallucination.
Most importantly, Giancarlo pointed out that in an app centric environment, changes by vendors ripple throughout the entire organization. And if an organization is relying on its own data and own context in a data primacy environment, a change in the application only affects their workflow, not the entire operation.
“We're giving control back to the enterprise. We're not reducing the need for the apps, for the workflows. We're just saying they (apps) don't own the data anymore. They don't have complete control and ownership of the context anymore. That is the job for the enterprise. Our view is that we simplified the array. We simplified the fleet. We've now simplified the management of data storage. And now, we want to enable our customers to unlock the value of their data,” he concluded.
Innovations to Unified Data Plane
Apart from Data Intelligence, Everpure is introducing updates to its Unified Data Plane to deliver a shared foundation across the entire enterprise that eliminates performance silos, maximizes resource efficiency, and brings cloud-like scaling directly into physical data architecture. This includes the Evergreen//One Overdrive, available in Q3 2026, which provides a temporary, cloud-like performance boost for on-premises storage to seamlessly absorb traffic spikes up to 25% above baseline without requiring permanent subscription upgrades.
Apart from that, Everpure announced the availability of Everpure Data Stream, which is based on NVIDIA AI Data Platform reference design. Data Stream brings advanced AI capabilities directly to enterprise data where it already lives by enhancing Everpure’s comprehensive enterprise strategy to deliver AI-ready data.
Everpure Data Stream reduces raw data preparation from months to minutes, enforcing stream-level access controls that keep information securely within the corporate network, and providing a scale-out architecture that lets storage and compute scale independently to match changing model requirements. It also accelerates enterprise AI projects by removing cost and complexity barriers.
