Ingram Micro refreshes Singapore AI Center of Excellence with NetApp and Cisco
The AI COE will feature a comprehensive stack of infrastructure including the NetApp Platform, powered by all-flash storage systems running NetApp ONTAP for data management and Cisco’s AI-Ready Data Center with Full-Stack Security and Observability.
Ingram Micro has refreshed its AI Center of Excellence (AI COE) in Singapore as the technology distributor looks to build on its partnership with NetApp and Cisco. The updated AI COE will provide businesses in Singapore with a secure environment to test AI solutions before deployment.
According to a media statement by Ingram Micro, the AI COE will feature a comprehensive stack of infrastructure including the NetApp Platform, powered by all-flash storage systems running NetApp ONTAP for data management and Cisco’s AI-Ready Data Center with Full-Stack Security and Observability, a full-stack, AI infrastructure blueprint.
By providing organizations access to this updated infrastructure in the AI COE as well as the expertise and ecosystem needed to scale innovation, businesses can move more quickly from AI experimentation to real-world deployment. At the same time, independent software vendors can also utilize the AI COE to test, validate and optimize their AI solutions using real-world data, workflows and customer scenarios in a fully integrated environment comprising compute, storage, networking and software.
With Singapore continuing to see a huge growth in AI innovation hubs, one of the concerns organizations have is on the risk of using AI. The new center enables organizations to evaluate AI solutions in a controlled setting before implementing them, reducing risks and improving decision-making around AI investments.
Eunice Lau, Executive Managing Director, Ingram Micro Asia shared that Ingram Micro’s ambition is to lead the technology journey with urgency, empowering organizations to seamlessly scale from pilots to production.
“Together with NetApp and Cisco, the COE is a major strategic investment that unites our expert teams to test, learn, and deploy real-world applications, ensuring we deliver customized solutions built for long term business impact,” Lau said.
Building on NetApp and Cisco’s capabilities
Among the updated capabilities in the AI CEO will be Ingram Micro Xvantage, a digital platform allowing customers to discover, compare, and procure end-to-end AI solutions. ISVs will be able to list their validated solutions on Xvantage for customers to discover, compare, and procure end-to-end AI solutions.
This also increases visibility among channel partners and customers while helping developers accelerate commercialization plans.
Ingram Micro will be offering NetApp Keystone through this platform for the first time. This provides customers with a flexible alternative to traditional procurement models. NetApp Keystone enables organizations with a pay-as-you-grow consumption approach, allowing them to scale infrastructure in line with business needs while optimizing capital expenditure and managing cost pressures, which in turn lowers barriers to experimentation and commercialization.
"To realize Singapore's AI ambitions, enterprises need more than the latest models and compute power. They also must have robust data foundations that are secure, scalable, and operate seamlessly across on-premises and cloud," Kenneth Poh, Country Manager for NetApp Singapore and Philippines said.
“We are excited to be contributing to the Ingram Micro vision and remain committed to strengthening Singapore’s AI ecosystem by helping customers build the intelligent data infrastructure that underpins digital transformation and AI innovation,” Poh added.
Meanwhile, Kartika Prihadi, Vice President, Partner Sales, APJC, Cisco shared that the COE puts the capability directly in partners' hands.
“With Cisco's AI-Ready Data Center with Full-Stack Security and Observability, the NetApp Platform and Ingram Micro's scale across the region, our partners can test, validate and commercialize with confidence and turn Singapore's AI ambition into real customer outcomes," Prihadi said.
