Tech Data, a TD SYNNEX company, has been appointed distributor for CloudCasa by Catalogic Software in Singapore and Malaysia. The announcement builds on the distributor’s successful partnership with CloudCasa in Australia and New Zealand (ANZ).

The expanded partnership in Malaysia and Singapore is expected to give partners access to purpose-built Kubernetes data protection, disaster recovery and migration capabilities, helping them address growing demand for resilient cloud-native environments.

The increasing adoption of Kubernetes and containerized platforms by organizations in Singapore and Malaysia has led to traditional data protection solutions lacking the capabilities required to protect, recover and move modern workloads across hybrid environments. With CloudCasa, organizations will have access to a purpose-built Kubernetes data protection, disaster recovery and migration platform for cloud, edge and data center environments.

Tech Data's cloud-native ecosystem will also enable partners to integrate CloudCasa into broader hybrid and multi-cloud solution architectures. The distributor will support resellers, managed service providers, system integrators and enterprise partners through its local market reach, technical expertise, enablement programs and go-to-market capabilities.

Tech Data’sTech Centre of Excellence and solutions aggregation capabilities will help partners strengthen technical skills, accelerate deployment and build differentiated service offerings around cloud-native resilience.

According to Mark Tan, Vice President, Tech Data Singapore and Tec D Malaysia, both countries are rapidly advancing their cloud, AI and digital infrastructure ambitions, but that progress must be supported by equally modern approaches to data resilience.

“For our partners, this creates an opportunity to expand beyond traditional backup and deliver higher-value services around Kubernetes protection, disaster recovery and workload mobility. By bringing together CloudCasa’s specialized capabilities with our local expertise, technical enablement and ecosystem reach, we can help partners address emerging customer requirements and build scalable, recurring services for modern application environments.”

For Aravind Kurapati, Head of Channels and Alliances, APAC and GSI, Catalogic Software, Singapore and Malaysia are important markets in Catalogic’s APAC growth strategy, with organizations increasingly adopting Kubernetes to support application modernization and innovation.

“That shift creates an urgent need for data protection designed specifically for cloud-native environments. Tech Data’s extensive partner network, technical capabilities and strong presence across both markets will help us equip more partners to address this need and deliver resilient, secure Kubernetes environments for their customers,” he said.

Catalogic Software is a leading provider of modern data protection solutions, helping organizations secure, manage, and recover data across hybrid and cloud-native environments. CloudCasa is a cloud-native backup-as-a-service platform built specifically for Kubernetes and modern cloud applications.
