Wasabi Technologies expands AI cloud storage opportunities in Singapore and Malaysia with Tech Data

The distribution agreement will enable Tech Data partners to have access to Wasabi’s predictable, cost-efficient cloud storage solutions.

Tech Data has announced a new distribution agreement with Wasabi Technologies in Singapore and Malaysia. The agreement will see the TD SYNNEX company enable partners in both countries capture the growing demand for cloud storage, data protection and cyber resilience solutions.

Taking a deeper look at the agreement, Tech Data will be able to expand its cloud and data management portfolio with the Wasabi partnership. This includes enabling resellers and managed service providers (MSPs) address growing customer requirements around AI, backup, archive, disaster recovery and ransomware protection with cost-effective, cloud-first solutions.

Specifically, partners will gain access to Wasabi’s cloud storage portfolio backed by Tech Data’s comprehensive support ecosystem, including its Tech Center of Excellence, partner enablement resources, cloud marketplace capabilities, financing options, and local billing and support services. These capabilities will help partners design and deliver AI, cloud storage, backup and cyber-resilience solutions more effectively, accelerate time-to-market and create recurring revenue opportunities.

According to Mark Tan, Vice President for Tech Data Singapore and Tec D Malaysia, Wasabi is a strong addition to Tech Data’s cloud and data management portfolio, addressing fast-growing demand in Singapore and Malaysia for cost-efficient storage, backup and cyber-resilience solutions.
