The partnership covered opportunities in Australia & New Zealand, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, and Thailand, among other markets. The expanded partnership will now see Westcon-Comstor will also provide Ericsson Private 5G in the APAC region. This is in line with Ericsson’s market growth plans, enabling organizations to innovate, operate, and scale without connectivity constraints as well as broaden Westcon-Comstor's international coverage of Ericsson’s enterprise wireless solutions.

With both companies also have existing strong partnerships in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), the collaboration reflects Ericsson’s channel-first go-to-market model, empowering partners with the tools, expertise and support required to capture the rapidly growing demand for Wireless WAN and private 5G.

According to Julie Hens, Senior Vice President, Global Distribution Partners at Ericsson Enterprise Wireless Solutions, the expanding work with Westcon-Comstor enables them to extend their reach across APAC, equipping partners with the expertise and solutions needed to deliver secure, high-performance wireless connectivity that powers modern enterprises.

“Together, we are enabling partners to capture growing demand for private 5G and Wireless WAN, supporting organizations across industries as they adopt AI-driven applications and as the network moves from a business utility to becoming part of how operations run,” Hens said.

Speaking to CRN Asia about the partnership in APAC, Patrick Aronson, APAC Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer share that the partnership with Ericsson has gone from strength to strength since both companies began working together in APAC years ago.

“We've seen strong engagement from partners looking to support customers' digital transformation and secure connectivity requirements. Beyond commercial growth, one of the biggest successes has been the enablement of our channel ecosystem. Together, we've invested in partner recruitment, training, technical support and go-to-market initiatives that have helped partners build new capabilities and expand their enterprise wireless practices. This is a natural next step in the relationship and reflects the confidence both of us have in the opportunities ahead,” he said.

Aronson pointed out that there is growing interest in private 5G in the region as organizations look for secure, reliable and high-performance connectivity to support mission-critical applications, automation initiatives and AI-driven operations. For example, industries such as manufacturing, logistics, transportation, public safety, utilities and critical infrastructure are currently exploring how private wireless networks can deliver greater control, resilience and operational efficiency.

“By offering Ericsson Private 5G alongside our broader networking and cybersecurity ecosystem, we're helping partners address a wide range of customer use cases and market demands,” he said.

When asked if the partnership will also look into other markets in the region, Aronson explained that Westcon-Comstor’s priority is to ensure they have the right partner ecosystem, local capabilities and go-to-market readiness in place as they consider expanding. This includes assessing markets where they can create the greatest value.

Aronson also mentioned that as with any strategic vendor relationship, Westcon-Comstor will maintain ongoing discussions around future opportunities and how they can best support partners as market requirements evolve.

“At this stage our priority is in enabling partners on the growing enterprise wireless opportunity,” he said.
