OneByZero signs three-year AWS deal for enterprise AI across APJ
OneByZero and AWS signed a three-year agreement to expand governed enterprise AI deployments across Asia Pacific and Japan.
OneByZero has signed a three-year Strategic Collaboration Agreement with Amazon Web Services to support enterprise AI deployments across Asia Pacific and Japan.
The three-year agreement covers AI deployment, data modernization, agent-based systems, and delivery models tied to business outcomes. OneByZero also plans to expand its local engineering teams across the region as part of the collaboration.
The companies will work on OneByZero's Neo platform, which is designed to deploy and manage AI agents within customers' AWS environments. Neo is built on Amazon Bedrock and Amazon Bedrock AgentCore to support the deployment and governance of AI systems in enterprise environments.
AgentCore provides infrastructure for running AI agents, along with identity and access controls, policy management, session persistence, connections to external tools, and observability. AWS made AgentCore generally available in October 2025 across nine regions, including Singapore, Mumbai, Sydney, and Tokyo.
At general availability, AWS also added support for Virtual Private Cloud, AWS PrivateLink, CloudFormation, and resource tagging across AgentCore services. AgentCore Observability integrates with Amazon CloudWatch to monitor agent execution and operational metrics.
"Neo, our platform for deploying and governing AI Coworkers, is what makes that possible inside the complex, regulated environments our clients operate in," Niket Vaidya, CEO of OneByZero, said.
Regional infrastructure and data modernization
AWS has also expanded the regional availability of Amazon Bedrock and AgentCore in Asia. Amazon Bedrock became available in AWS's Thailand, Malaysia, and Taipei regions in September 2025.
AgentCore expanded to the Bangkok and Malaysia regions in July this year. AWS said customers in those regions have access to capabilities including agent runtime, identity and access controls, policy management, session persistence, tool connectivity, and observability.
OneByZero also plans to expand the use of ETL Crew, its data modernization system built on Amazon Bedrock and integrated with AWS Glue and AWS Lambda. The system is used to support data migration and modernization projects.
A OneByZero case study describes ETL Crew as a three-agent system covering different parts of the migration process. One agent coordinates the workflow, a second retrieves existing code and rewrites ETL scripts for the cloud environment, and a third runs automated tests and executes migration tasks.
According to the case study, Amazon Bedrock handles model reasoning and multi-agent orchestration, while AWS Glue serves as the runtime for generated ETL pipelines. AWS Lambda manages event-driven triggers and handoffs between agents, and Amazon SageMaker is used as part of the validation environment during automated testing.
According to OneByZero, ETL Crew delivered 55% faster project delivery, required 80% fewer resources, and reduced costs by 30% compared with incumbent approaches in one engagement. The company did not provide additional details about the comparison methodology in the announcement.
In a case study involving a Southeast Asian bank, OneByZero said ETL Crew reduced project time and human effort by 50%. The results were published by OneByZero and were not presented as an independent assessment.
OneByZero cited work with Krungsri in Thailand as another example of the technology in production. The company said ETL Crew was used on AWS to modernize legacy data pipelines and support cloud migration.
AWS has also documented the Krungsri deployment. In a November 2025 AWS Partner Network article, AWS said ETL Crew was developed by OneByZero in collaboration with the AWS Generative AI Innovation Center's Partner Agent Factory to automate the modernization of legacy ETL workloads.
K. Tul Roteseree, head of Enterprise Data and Analytics Group at Bank of Ayudhya, or Krungsri, said in the AWS article that the collaboration accelerated the bank's experimentation with generative AI for code conversion and its cloud migration by more than 50%. He also said Krungsri was using its AWS-based Kumo data platform across multiple business domains and workstreams.
Governance and enterprise deployment
The collaboration also covers the use of AI agents within enterprise workflows. OneByZero refers to these systems as "AI Coworkers," with each agent assigned defined roles, human managers, and performance indicators.
The company said its AI agents are already handling more than 100,000 enterprise interactions per day across APJ. It did not provide a breakdown by customer, industry, or workload.
Singapore introduced specific governance guidance for agent-based AI systems in January this year. The Infocomm Media Development Authority's Model AI Governance Framework for Agentic AI is aimed at organizations developing AI agents in-house or deploying third-party agentic systems.
The framework recommends assessing and limiting an agent's autonomy and access to tools and data, defining points where human approval is required, and applying technical controls throughout the agent lifecycle. It also states that humans remain accountable for agent behavior and calls for transparency and training for users.
IMDA updated the framework in May this year with additional practices covering multi-agent systems, third-party agents, and automation bias, alongside more than 10 deployment case studies. The update incorporated industry feedback from more than 60 organizations, including AWS, DBS, Google, and Salesforce.
OneByZero also plans to use its Forward Deployed Engineers in customer environments alongside its AI agents. The engineers work directly within client environments to support deployment and integrate the systems into existing business processes.
The agreement also includes delivery models linked to defined business outcomes rather than technology implementation alone. No financial terms or specific commercial targets were disclosed.
"Governed agents working alongside people, embedded in real workflows, with full auditability," Kirsten Gilbertson, Partner Organization Leader at AWS ASEAN, said.
