Seelan Nayagam to succeed John Lombard as Asia Pacific CEO for NTT DATA

Nayagam takes over the role from March 16, 2026 and will be based in Singapore.

NTT DATA has appointed Seelan Nayagam as the new Chief Executive Officer for Asia Pacific at NTT DATA. Nayagam will be based in Singapore and takes over the role from John Lombard effective March 16, 2026. He will report to Abhijit Dubet, President and CEO of NTT DATA.

An industry veteran with over two decades of leadership experience, Nayagam joins NTT DATA from DXC Technology where he led operations across Asia Pacific and Middle East & Africa for more than a decade. This includes driving multi-billion-dollar revenue, profitability, strategy, portfolio diversification, and governance during his time at DXC.

“Watching our teams build meaningful partnerships and deliver work that makes a real difference has been one of the most rewarding parts of my journey. I’m grateful for our customers and partners for the trust they’ve placed in me, and to everyone who has supported me throughout the years. And to my family, thank you for being the quiet pillar of strength through it all,” Nayagam said in a LinkedIn post announcing his departure from DXC Technology.

Nayagam also held roles at CSC and IBM. In taking over this new role at NTT DATA, he brings experience not only in driving digital transformation but also sustainable growth across the APAC region.

“I am very excited to be joining NTT DATA, Inc. on March 16th as part of Abhijit Dubey’s management team. The company is going through an incredible transformation to lead in the AI era. It will be an honor to lead the Asia Pacific team and further drive client success and sustainable growth across the region. I cannot wait to get started, meet our clients, partners and colleagues and help drive the next era of digital and AI transformation,” Nayagam said.

For Dubey, Nayagam’s executive leadership and wealth of experience in driving digital transformation comes at a pivotal time as NTT DATA partners with clients to deliver solutions for their transformation journeys in the era of AI.

“His strong track record in delivering profitable growth through strategic client initiatives will play a key role in accelerating our growth and innovation across the Asia Pacific region. We’re delighted to welcome Seelan to NTT DATA as we deliver on our mission to accelerate client success and positively impact society through responsible innovation,” Dubey said.

Dubey added, “I would also like to take the opportunity to thank John Lombard for his excellent leadership during his many years with our company, which was instrumental in helping NTT DATA transform and setting the stage for future success. We all wish him well in the future.”

The announcement comes as NTT DATA continues to grow its capabilities globally. In January 2026, the global IT services company announced a multi-year Strategic Collaboration Agreement (SCA) with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to help enterprises modernize legacy systems, adopt agentic AI responsibly and scale innovation across industries. The collaboration will deliver tailored enterprise solutions that modernize mission-critical workloads, build secure cloud foundations, and drive measurable business outcomes across regulated and high-growth industries.

NTT DATA also announced that it has acquired Zero&One, an AWS Premier Tier Services Partner in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). The acquisition significantly strengthens NTT DATA's cloud capabilities and positions it to tap into the rapidly expanding Middle East cloud services market.

The acquisition enables NTT DATA to offer comprehensive cloud services to Middle East and African clients, including cloud migration, application modernization, cloud-native development, data analytics and AI solutions.
