Information management paramount for AI, says OpenText
“The key is to connect it to the right data from the right systems, so it understands your business,” Todd Cione, OpenText, President, Worldwide Sales says.
When it comes to information management in the age of AI, OpenText is a leader in ensuring businesses protect, govern, and activate their data with confidence. Today, most businesses want to be able to manage their information properly, especially with AI becoming part of most of their business processes.
However, organizations continue to be grappling with the same challenges in AI. Access to the right information remains a challenge with businesses challenged with Shadow AI situations at the workplace.
In Southeast Asia, OpenText believes that its position as a leader in secure, trusted content is a critical enabler for enterprise AI. Organizations need to be able to manage their data efficiently, which includes access and how the data is used for AI use cases.
At the recent OpenText Summit Singapore, Todd Cione, OpenText, President, Worldwide Sales shared that the benefits of driving AI productivity come with concerns around privacy and protection. He believes the OpenText Aviator platform will be able to help businesses handle their information management better.
Be it managing content from unstructured data to content that comes from business interactions, Cionne explained that the OpenText Aviator platform makes the content very usable for AI.
OpenText Aviator is a suite of business AI solutions embedded across OpenText platforms. It provides digital knowledge workers with agentic AI technology to automate workflows in new ways. Apart from helping customers anticipate the next generation of content management in an AI-future world, OpenText Aviator is purpose-built for enterprise use and deeply integrated into OpenText information management platforms, so it works with your content, workflows, and systems.
“It doesn't matter the cloud setup that you have, whether it is on-premise, whether it is a private cloud or a public cloud. We do this for all industries, particularly heavily regulated industries where security and governance are paramount. The key is to connect it to the right data from the right systems. And so it understands your business,” he said.
Cione also pointed out that the current geopolitical environment that businesses are operating in means of sovereignty is paramount and top of mind for most every business these days.
“As a Canadian company, we recognize that importance. We're working very closely with the Canadian government to build AI across Canada. And we're doing this globally in a sovereign way as well. Now, one of the ways that we're doing that is through our data centers in Canada, in Europe, across Asia Pacific as well, supporting and serving our customers today. It gives our customers flexibility on where their data is and how it is government managed. And that makes certain that really sensitive data can be secured, that it can be managed and be governed, all in with compliance, with local laws and regulations,” Cione explained.
OpenText in Singapore
According to Jeffrey Neo, OpenText’s Regional Vice President for Southeast Asia, the vendor has over 100 employees in Singapore as well as a strong partner ecosystem that supports hundreds of customers who contribute heavily to OpenText’s revenue.
“It's a powerful community. And we're really proud of the organizations that we work with and serve across Singapore, including, some of the most trusted brands in this country. And we're going to continue to invest in the cloud and in AI infrastructure across the region,” Neo said.
Neo also pointed out that its OpenText has a very strong collaborative culture in Singapore who are great at driving local innovations.
“I think that's important because that is what matters to our customers. And also, we have a very strong mindset about being customer-centric. We combine this with deep global expertise to be able to support all these initiatives. We also have amazing strategic partnerships with local experts to manage complex data governance for Singapore enterprises. I mean, we cannot do it alone, and that's why we built that ecosystem of partners to be able to help us support our customers in the right way,” Neo explained.
As such, Neo believes with customers placing their trust in OpenText, the vendor works hard daily to be deserving of that trust.
